Jean Morrison

Jean Morrison has been working with individuals with disabilities for more than 20 years. She has worked with a variety of disabilities (learning, developmental, physical) and adaptive needs in various settings, including groups at Bright Star Martial Arts since 2010, adult vocational day programs, 1:1, schools, and summer camps. Jean is a 5th Degree Black Belt and a Registered Behavior Therapist.

At Bright Star Martial Arts in Santa Clarita, we provide a life–changing journey to help students face the path ahead with confidence.

We meet students and their families where they are and grow from there. Bright Star offers Early Intervention Classes for those just diagnosed to get a head start. We also offer classes to adults with diverse needs. Whether one-on-one, small group, or faster paced classes are for you, you'll find a home here.

We inspire leadership, encourage a sense of belonging, and never turn special needs students away. It is a common notion that martial arts are best for kids who have low self-esteem. This is a common misconception.

Although martial arts can be beneficial for children with low self-esteem, it is not the only reason to enroll your child in a martial arts class. Martial arts provide a great way for your child to learn physical exercise, build self-confidence, and learn about focus and respect.

Bright Star Martial Arts provides a great way for your child to reinforce appropriate behavior, improve classroom and social skills, achieve adaptive physical education goals, and even compete on an even playing field should they choose to do so.
